EG4 Grid Services TX
Program Overview
The EG4 Grid Services TX Virtual Power Plant Program is designed to encourage the discharge of stored battery energy during critical grid events in Texas. By enrolling, customers allow their battery systems to participate in 1-4 events per year, supporting the grid and providing load reduction during periods of high demand.
Participants are eligible to earn seasonal incentives depending on the size of their battery system. Program compensation is based on measured battery performance during scheduled events. Enrollment in the EG4 Grid Services TX program also offers a pathway for customers to easily migrate into more lucrative programs as they become available throughout Texas.
How It Works
Enrolled battery systems support the Texas electrical grid by providing load reduction during scheduled events. When dispatched, batteries discharge to lessen the strain on the grid during high demand periods. Customers can participate in up to four events each year.
