Customer Battery Energy Sharing (CBES)
How It Works
During ~50 annual events (2–4 hours, mostly evenings, Apr–Dec), batteries discharge to power homes or the grid based on LUMA’s needs. Customers set backup reserves and can opt out.
Eligibility
EG4 customers with kPV or FlexBOSS inverters, solar, WallMount or LifePower4 48V V2 batteries, and enrolled in LUMA’s Net Energy Metering.
Enrollment
Via EG4 monitoring portal, accepted on a rolling basis.
